Total loan: $275

Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan / Wholesale

Farzana's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy packs of biscuits, bubbles, candies, snacks, and chocolates for her husband's goods distribution business.

Farzana's story

Farzana is a 38-year-old married woman living with her spouse and a daughter. She lives in the populated area of Lahore, Pakistan. She is pictured with her husband.

She is very worried about her husband's profession because his income is very low and she hardly fulfills her household expenses. In fact, he is a goods distributor by profession. He purchases biscuits, bubbles, candies, and chocolates from wholesalers and supplies to the retailers.

He had invested a borrowed amount into his business. Now the borrowers are asking for his given amount. If he paid the borrowed amount then he could not have cash left in hand to continue his business.

Therefore, Farzana has requested a Kiva loan through Kiva’s field partner, BRAC Pakistan, for her husband's goods distribution business. So he can easily continue his business and can earn bread and butter for his family.

She wishes to educate her daughter in higher school in the future but it seems impossible with the current monthly income. She hopes that this loan will prove beneficial for her husband's business and it will remove financial constraints from her family.

She is very thankful to Kiva and field partner BRAC Pakistan.
