Kecia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped My company buy the materials needed to combat this heroin epidemic, complete the 6-8 week After School Program and spread the message of recovery through the art of theater, dance and song.

Kecia's story

My name is Kecia Green and I was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y. Life for me was rough, I took to the streets at the age of fifteen and never looked back. The streets raised me and the streets also destroyed any sense of innocence I possessed. I started writing at an early age, I won my very first creative writing award in the second grade. Writing has always been my great escape. I wrote my first novel while in prison, "Mistress of The Game", under Sherrie Walker. Today I am driven, focused, willing, on fire and burning with a passion to teach the world through my writing. My future dreams that aren't dreams at all, they are goals. My future goals are, to travel with my inspirational plays, sell books that make you want to be a part of something bigger and make movies that mean something. And I will accomplish all of these things. Soon! My entire past life demonstrates who I am today. My pain of being raped at three compels me to help other rape victims. My addiction at sixteen, pushes me to educate the next teenager about drugs, I am all that I am and all I will become because my past taught me to never give up.
