A loan helped To use as additional capital for her sari-sari store.
This is Lorna G., a 39-year-old store owner from Malaria, Caloocan City. She has four children, all going to school and her husband, Arbi, 40, is a mechanic. Lorna has been in business for six years already, managing her own sari-sari (general) store located at their house. On a daily basis, she makes P2,000 and saves most of her profits for the education of her children. Last year, Lorna came to know about the Center for Community Transformation (CCT) Credit Cooperative and eventually became a member. She enjoys attending its weekly meetings for women entrepreneurs. Lorna has applied for a new loan of P12,000 with the cooperative as additional capital for her store. Lorna looks forward to improving her general store into a grocery store outlet someday. About CCT The Center for Community Transformation (CCT) is an organized Christian response against poverty and social injustice. This is carried out through the fusion of social development initiatives and evangelical mission in a uniquely Filipino context. It serves urban and rural poor communities throughout the Philippines, in pursuit of its desire to see changed lives, strong families, and transformed communities centered in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. CCT is a member of the Five Talents family.
