Knight's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy high quality seeds and fertilizers, and expand her horticulture farm. Using the quality farm inputs will increase her income, which she will use to support her children's education.

Knight's story

Meet Knight again, who has a perfect credit history. She is not a first-time Kiva borrower, and has paid back her previous loan on time.

Knight is a mother of lovely children. She has been practicing agriculture for the last seven years. Because of the immense knowledge she has about farming, she commands a lot of respect among other farmers. She is viewed as a mentor in her village. Knight lives with her children in the Kitale area of Kenya, which is known for maize farming. Her primary income sources are eggs and milk, as well as some personal business she engages in to supplement her meager income. Generating an income through selling her harvest is the part of farming she enjoys most. Availability of labour is a major challenge for her.

Before joining Juhudi Kilimo, Knight could not access loans from banks, since she is a woman and a smallholder farmer. She joined Juhudi Kilimo, and learned about loan management and agribusiness. She also got to learn about Kiva and the wonderful Kiva lenders. Knight is seeking a loan to purchase farm inputs. Your loan will make her farm activities much easier. This will boost her income, and enable her to pay school fees for her children.

Knight waits for your kindness.
