Maureen's story

I have always had a unique talent of motivating people to find the best version of themselves through fitness and wellness. To be able to broaden that scope and be able to empower an entire team of professionals to serve a greater and more diverse population was always a dream of mine. And to be able to do so in the city I love and in which I am raising my seven children makes it all the sweeter! Opening M/Body...a completely unique and inspirational fitness/wellness studio has brought my personal and professional life full-circle I grew up as the third child in a family of seven kids. My father was an FBI agent who transferred often. My brothers and sisters have always been my best friends. When I was nine, my 10-year-old brother was diagnosed with cancer. He battled the disease for 7 years before he died in 1985. I grew up with a unique perspective and commitment to make the most out of every day and simply work for the greater good. I graduated from college and enjoyed a unique and successful early professional career. Before my husband and I got married, I was the youngest newspaper publisher in the history of New Mexico. I then helped start a business for him and proceeded to have seven children of our own. When my youngest went to school full-time I knew it was time to rediscover my professional dreams by establishing my own business, M/Body.
