A loan helped to buy fabric, incense and jewelry.

Dieynaba Kane's Group's story

The group composed of six women has been launched in 2013 at the same time as its banc villageois. Its members maintain good relations and all live in the same neighborhoods. They work mainly selling dyed fabric, jewely and incense.

Ms. Farimata, standing on the right in the photo raising her hand is the group's representative. She is 57 years old, married and has an only daughter.

Farimata sells dyed fabric, jewelry as well as incense, which she buys in the capital and then returns to sell her goods at her local market. Her revenues allow her to bolster her savings as well as help pay for her daughter's needs.
