Jesca's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy tailoring materials.

Jesca's story

Jesca is a 39-year-old woman living in Jinja. She is married with two children, and both are school-going. She is a tailor in Jinja town. This business has been her main source of income for ten years.

Jesca joined a technical institute after her senior six and pursued a diploma in tailoring. After her studies, she got a job at one of the prominent tailors where she learnt all the basics and experience needed in this line of business. She broke away after two years of training and started her small tailoring shop with financial help from her husband.

With desire for more growth, she has applied for a loan from UGAFODE to buy more materials like fabrics, buttons, thread, linings and beads so that she can increase her production. Jesca is optimistic that her sales will increase, especially in this coming Easter season, thereby increasing her income. She appreciates the funders for the support that will boost her business.

Her dream is to open up many branches and also open up a tailoring school.
