Gilda's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to invest in the family workshop by increasing the amount of work space as well as making other improvements.

Gilda's story

Gilda, who works alongside her husband, Ruben (shown on the right), specializes in handcrafted jade jewelry and Maya masks. She would like to invest in the family workshop by increasing the amount of work space as well as making other improvements.

Gilda has been selling through NOVICA since 2012. This is her story:

"Our story begins in a town near Antigua. Gilda grew up in a home of woodcarvers and I grew up in a family of silversmiths," Ruben explains. '"We began our first steps as artisans while still going to school. We met when we were 16 years old, both very young and very much in love,' Gilda says with a smile. 'We are artisans who work with our hearts, with dedication and love."

"Our sincere thanks to all of you who support us through this microcredit. It really helps us a lot. May God repay you many times over."
