Awa's Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy two cows.

Awa's Group's story

This seven-member group is part of the "banc villageois" created in December 2008. It includes women who are very supportive of each other and have good relationships. They are involved mainly in sales and raising animals.

Ndeye, standing to the right in the photo with her hand raised, is the featured borrower. She is 44 years old, married and the mother of seven children, including three boys. She has been raising animals for years and has a lot of experience in this field. Ndeye buys her cows, fattens them for five months and then resells them.

With her new loan, Ndeye plans to buy two cows and use the rest of the loan to buy feed. She will use the income she earns to pay for her children's school fees and healthcare expenses.
