Ingrid Luz's story

Ingrid is an empirical seamstress. She learned this profession through the teaching of her family. Today she offers her services as a seamstress on a contract basis to wholesalers. She does her work from her home, where she makes all kinds of clothing items, such as shirts, pants, and dresses. She has fourteen years' experience in this job, and because of it she has been able to offer wellbeing to her family. She is married and has three children.

She is currently applying for a Kiva loan, her first financing through the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation. She will invest it in sewing supplies and fabrics in order to fill an order for school uniforms. Her goal for the future is to produce more, and to make improvements to her home so that it is more habitable.
