Hawa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more soap, cream, grease, spray, soft drinks and cold water to sell.

Hawa's story

Greetings from Liberia. This is 38-year-old Hawa. She is living together with her partner and 2 children. The ages of her children are 3 and 9 years and they live at home while attending school. Hawa went to school until 9th grade. Due to insufficient capital from her partner, she deals in a business where she sells soap, cream, grease, spray, soft drinks and cold water. She started to sell with money given to her by her partner and she was able to acquire selling skills from her mother. Hawa has 6 years of experience with this business and she describes herself as a hardworking business woman. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site. She sells 6 days per week and 10 hours per day. She wants to increase business, therefore, Hawa applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva Field Partner. The loan will be used to buy more soap, cream, grease, spray, soft drinks and cold water to sell. In the future she wants to build houses and also build her store. She wishes to say thanks.
