A loan helped to buy fertilizer for coffee trees.
Ngan's Group's story
Born in a poor house, Hanh, 28, has worked as a farmer since she was very young. She is married and lives with her spouse and two baby daughters (one is 2 years old, the other is 8 months old) in the poor village of Muong Ang district. Like other villagers, agricultural production is her family's main income. She and her husband work very hard in the field with plenty of jobs such as growing rice, coffee, and raising poultry. Sometimes the coffee crops fail because of disease, and she had to sell coffee beans at a cheap price under the pressure of traders. To overcome this difficult situation, she tries to find many ways to acquire modern techniques such as learning from villagers, attending training from the Anh Chi Em program and also increasing their capital through Anh Chi Em’s loan. Since she joined the Anh Chi Em program, she has always repaid on time. This time, she has taken out a loan from Anh Chi Em to buy fertilizer for their coffee trees. She hopes this investment will be successful and the productivity of the next coffee crop will be high. She dreams of giving her daughters a necessary education as the key to success. In the picture, she stands first on the right.
