A loan helped to buy more new styles of shirts in every size for her shirt selling business, to earn more income.

Ghazala's story

Ghazala is a 38-year-old married woman, living with her spouse and five children in the area of Lahore, Pakistan. She has been selling shirts to her community. She purchases stock of many shirts and in every size for selling purposes. She does this because she wants to support her husband, who runs a moto-rickshaw, but his earnings are insufficient and they do not meet the family's requirements.

Her husband goes to the garments market to buy many new styles of shirts in every size for her shirt selling business. She has been selling shirts for many years now.

To cope with the increasing demand she wants to buy more new styles of shirts. In this way she would be able to fulfill the demand, and can easily get more profit. Therefore, Ghazala has requested a loan so she would be able to buy more new styles of shirts in every size, and earn greater profits for her family.

She thanks Kiva and its field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
