A loan helped to buy a new sewing juki machine and some packs of zippers and buttons for tailoring purpose.

Nargis's story

Nargis, age 33, is a married woman. She is a hardworking and brave mother who is helping her family by providing tailoring services in her community. Being a mother she wants to provide better facilities to her children.

She has been sewing clothes after the birth of her third child, when she observed that her husband failed to provide all necessities to her children. Then she decided to start tailoring work at home and till now she is sewing the clothes of her community. She wants to enhance the beauty of her stitching, so she wants to buy a sewing juki machine. The professional gents and ladies tailors use this machine for tailoring because its speed is good and its work is very fine.

She knows the techniques of tailoring very well. Her regular customers are mostly her neighbors, friends and the local community.

She has requested a loan to buy a new sewing juki machine and some packs of zippers and buttons to meet the increasing demand. Nargis is very thankful to Kiva and its field partner, BRAC Pakistan.
