Emmah's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped her to buy more items to sell to her customers.

Emmah's story

Emmah is 40 years old and lives in Waterloo with her husband and two children, who are 15 and 20 years old and currently attending school. She has a table in a busy market from which she sells various food items, including onions, palm oil, rice, sugar, gari, fish, and more. People buy these items to make local spicy stews (such as cassava leaf, groundnut, and pepper soup) for their families. She has been in this business for twelve years now and works ten hours per day six days a week. Her husband also earns a income and Emmah says her business is doing well. She is requesting this loan to buy more items to sell and to expand her business. She says that the extra income she earns as a result of this loan will help her pay school fees for her children and support her family. In the future, she hopes to expand her business into a big restaurant. She offers her thanks to BRAC and Kiva lenders for their support.
