Mariana's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy three mother pigs, high-quality fodder for the animals and agro-chemicals for the plants, all of these aimed at increasing the productivity of the farm and improving the family’s earnings.

Mariana's story

This beautiful young lady is Mariana, an aspiring farmer from Tavush region of Armenia. Mariana is married and lives with her husband, two little children and parents-in-law.

This big family owns a farm which is the main source of their income. In the farm Mariana herself, with the support of her mother-in-law, grows apples, persimmons, cornel, figs, cherries, wheat, barley and nuts. The livestock of the farm includes hens, geese, rabbits, a pig and two bee families. Mariana’s husband sells all agricultural products of the farm in their village and in nearby villages.

To develop their agro business under conditions of ever-growing economic instability and continuous price fluctuations, Mariana has applied for this loan. With the money provided, she and her husband plan to enlarge their livestock with three mother pigs, buy high-quality fodder for their animals and chemicals for their plants for more effective land cultivation.

Mariana believes that after these enhancements the productivity of the farm will grow dramatically and she will be able to ensure better living conditions for her little children.

She is full of hopes and strives for brighter future.
