John's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay part of children's school fees.

John's story

John is a new client of UGAFODE. He is married with six children, of whom three attend school. He carries out farming on a large scale, majoring in cattle and goats. His clients include cattle traders and milk sellers in Sembabule and the surrounding areas. He started farming in 2008 and his farm has developed over the years.

John submits that he was motivated to venture into farming by his parents because he and his siblings attained an education with the money his father earned from farming. He further adds that his family has never lacked while growing up because his parents were farmers. Therefore he grew up knowing that farming can pay the bills. It is of no wonder that he opted for farming when he entered the working class.

John has applied for a loan of 1,000,000 UGX from UGAFODE to pay the first installments of his three school-going children because he used most of his savings for his wife's medical bills. He is happy about the support that will enable his children to report back to school in time and avoid any back logs.

John's dream is to see all his children graduate and become successful in the future. John sends his gratitude to the funders for coming to his rescue. Pictured above is John and a credit officer.
