Kadiatu's Farmer-Survivors Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for improved seed, organic inputs and tractor rental and allow these farmers to escape subsistence by farming a larger area with a higher yield.

Kadiatu's Farmer-Survivors Group's story

Kadiatu K (2nd from left), featured borrower of Kadiatu's Farmer-Survivors, is a Master Farmer in Makossa village and has a large family of 11.

Kadiatu is a strong leader in the community, and regularly organizes women's activities to help young female farmers.

She is a seasoned farmer who lost her business during the Ebola crisis as well as several of her extended family members.

Kadiatu and her group of female farmers refuses to give up despite loosing a lifetime of work and call themselves the "farmer-survivors." In Kadiatu's words "we survive by our farming, and need your support."

All members are currently trapped in a cycle of subsistence and take extremely high-interest loans for poor quality inputs during planting time.

A no-interest Kiva loan will therefore enable this group of determined women to get back on their feet and back in business.
