Nua Ngam 58 Group's story

Suong, 40, is a Thai ethnic woman who has been a farmer since she was very little. She is married and has four daughters : all of them are attending university and school. When she was young, she always wanted to go to school but after finishing grade 4, she had to drop out because of her difficult situation.

Suong and her husband have tried their best to provide for their children and send them to school. Her family’s income relies only on agricultural production. Suong and her husband are hard-working farmers. They work a lot of jobs on the farm such as growing rice, cassava, raising buffalo, chicken and duck. Her main hardships are a lack of capital, a crowed family and sometimes she does not have enough money to pay her children’s tuition.

This time, Suong has taken out a loan to buy piglets. She hopes that with the support of the Anh Chi Em team, her investment in piglets will go well and help her earn a good profit. She plans to use the profit to buy more furniture and expand her farming. In the picture, she stands at the first from the right.
