Edgar De Jesús's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to invest in the purchase of cooking utensils and supplies: oil, flour, corn, meat, and dressings, to be able to produce much more and increase his income.

Edgar De Jesús's story

Edgar is a micro-entrepreneur, 65 years old, who lives in the city of Cartagena, and who, not finding job opportunities in companies in this municipality, chose to begin his own business selling traditional foods. He believed that, in his area, it would be successful to locate a business selling fried foods which are typical of this area. He decided to go out to sell as a street vendor on a tricycle, on which he visits the outsides of malls and other spots with high foot traffic. He also has a sales point at the port society in which he has very good sales. In the production, which begins at 3 in the morning, he is supported by his daughters.

Currently, he is applying for his first Kiva loan, with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, resources which he plans to invest in the purchase of cooking utensils and supplies: oil, flour, corn, meat, and dressings, to be able to produce much more and increase his income. His goal is to establish a stand and be a distributor of fried foods. Support him in his loan.
