A loan helped to buy piglets.

Noong Het 67 Group's story

Vui is 33 years old and has been a farmer since she was very little. She lives with her husband and two sons in a small house which is made from straw and mud. Her oldest son is disabled, but she has tried so hard to send him to school.

Her family has faced a lot of difficulties in life because of poverty. Most of her family’s income is from agricultural production such as growing rice, corn, raising pigs and chickens. Sometimes to add more income she goes to work as a temporary worker for other villagers when their rice crop is harvested.

Recently, she has taken out a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy some piglets to expand pig farming. She hopes that piglets will grow up fast and healthily to bring her great profit. She plans to use the profits to save for building a new house and pay her children’s tuition. In the picture, Vui stands on the right.
