A loan helped to buy a buffalo.

Noong Het 65 Group's story

Quy, 38, is a Thai ethnic woman who is married and has two children, ages 13 and 5. Now she lives in a crowded family, including her father-in-law, her husband, her children, and her brother-in-law and his wife and daughter. Her father-in-law is disabled. His legs cannot move since last year. Every month he has to go to the hospital. Her brother-in-law and his wife are also disabled; they cannot speak fluently. So, Quy and her husband have tried their best to provide for the family's well-being.

Agricultural production is her family's main income. She works hard in the field with plenty of jobs such growing rice, corn, and cassava, and raising pigs and chickens. Sometimes her husband goes to work as a temporary builder to add more income.

Currently, she has taken out a loan from Anh Chi Em program to buy a buffalo to expand her farming. She hopes that her family will always be full of health and happiness, and her children can receive the best education to have a brighter future.

In the picture, she stands first on the right.
