Hellen's story

Hellen is 45 years old and is married with five children and lives in a community in Honiara, capital of Solomon Island. In her community the demand for houses to rent is very high so Hellen decides to venture into housing rental business. She runs a housing rental business where she rents her houses to her tenants and they pay rent on a monthly basis. She has been in the business for six years. Hellen has requested a loan to help assist her build another new house to put out for rent, she will use the loan to pay for housing materials such as coppers, cements, steel rods, wire, gravel and transport hire. She plans to use her profits to pay for children's school fees and meet her family's daily needs. She became a member of SPBD in 2013 to gain access to financial services for her business.
