A loan helped to buy farm supplies and seed to improve her farm and also hire laborers to help with the farm work.

Spinicah's story

Hello lenders! Meet Spinicah (pictured in her posho mill business), a 30-year-old farmer from a remote village in the Kenyenya area of Kenya. She started farming six years ago on a small plot of land she acquired. Spinicah has dairy cows and a small garden on her farm.

Spinicah is seeking a 50,000 KES loan, which she will use to buy farm supplies and seed to improve her farm and also hire laborers to help with the farm work. Through hiring new workers, Spinicah will have a positive impact in the society by reducing unemployment. It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm business.

With your help, Spinicah will be able to cover the high cost of farm inputs necessary for expansion. A significant portion of the profits will be reinvested in the business to fuel growth as Spinicah sets a good foundation for her children. She hopes to progress as a female smallholder farmer and have a more stable income.
