Shaheena's loan finished fundraising, but these similar borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy calves to resell them in some festive season such as Eid ul Azha (Sacrifice Eid which is the Muslim Sacrifice festive).

Shaheena's story

Shaheena is a 38 year-old woman who lives with her spouse and four children in Muzzafargharh, Pakistan. They live in their own house made of brick that has drinking water, electricity, and plumbing. Shaheena has been raising calves as a source of income for five years. She receives financial aid from BRAC Pakistan for her livestock business.

She buys calves from the animal markets, following which she raises the calves until the following season when she re-sells them in the same markets with the help of her husband in some festive season such as Eid ul Azha (Sacrifice Eid which is Muslim Sacrifice festive).

Shaheena plans to grow her business for a better future of her children. Shaheena requested a 60,000 PKR loan through BRAC Pakistan to buy calves and animal food for her livestock business.

Shaheena and her family will be thankful to KIVA, its lenders and field partner BRAC Pakistan for helping them by funding this loan to improve their living standard.
