but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to build a stand to sell agricultural products she grows, such as avocados, limes, oranges and mangoes.

María Edita Lidia's story

María is an enterprising person. She currently lives in the rural community of El Chota, which is a valley that has a large agricultural production and is also a tourist attraction. In the upcoming days the Carnaval of Coangue will be celebrated there.

She needs a loan of $850 to build a stand so she can sell agricultural products she grows, such as avocado, limes, oranges and mangoes. Due to its particular climate, which is dry, this place is also ideal for growing grapes and ovos (an indigenous, acidic fruit) which María uses to make wine, which she also sells. The people from the valley are friendly, happy and extroverted. They will invite you to dance and enjoy the Carnaval party.

María supports herself with her work as she is a widow and lives with her son, who helps her a bit. She is a humble person, with a desire to work and get ahead.
