Rosemary's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy seeds to start horticultural farming.

Rosemary's story

Rosemary is a woman who lives with her children in a mud built house her grandparents built, in a remote village in Sotik, Kenya. Over time, Rosemary has been persevering to reach her goal of improving her living conditions and having a better life. She is a loving and zealous woman, who works tirelessly for the welfare of her family.

She has been farming for the past twelve years. Through those years, she has gathered much experience and is considered among the best farmers in her village. Rosemary practices mixed farming. Her primary sources of income are milk, eggs, crops and some small business ventures that help her make ends meet.

Rosemary has always wanted to increase her income by buying horticulture seeds to plant, so that once the crops are ready for harvest, she can sell them. That is why she is seeking this loan. Her remote area, one of the country's populated regions, has a high demand for horticulture produce. This means that Rosemary could increase her profits and satisfy the demand that is there.

Her greatest dream is to see her family happy and her ageing parents get the best medication care. She promises to pay back the loan in full.
