Carolyn's story

Carolyn is 31 years old and is married with four children. She lives in a rural community in Honiara, capital of Solomon Island. For nine years, Carolyn has run a small general store where she sells food items such as biscuits, canned foods, noodles and cigarettes in her community. She joined SPBD in 2016 to gain access to financial services for her business.

Carolyn is requesting a loan to pay for additional food items to expand her stock capacity and meet her customer demands and to assist her in running her business. She will use her profits to pay for her children's school fees and make improvements to her house so her family can have better living conditions.
