Asmat's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy two dairy cows in order to increase organic milk sales.

Asmat's story

Asmat, age 34, is married and has three sons and a daughter. Asmat has a secondary education. She has been involved in animal husbandry and crop farming since 2015 as her family's primary source of income. Her farm currently has two cows and three horses, as well as a 0.5-hectare plot of land where she grows beans. Asmat has a contract for the delivery of organic milk to a local factory for further processing into dairy products. This allows Asmat to invest continually in her agricultural business.

When Asmat found out that she could take out a loan from Bai Tushum Bank on security of her contract for future deliveries (as part of the "Value Chain" product), she applied for a loan of 150,000 som (KGS) in order to buy two dairy cows to increase the volume of milk she sells. Payments for the milk from the factory will be transferred directly to Asmat's bank account, and loan payments will be deducted automatically. Income from the loan will help Asmat expand her herd in the future, as well as give her children a quality education.
