Margaritas De Macamaca Group's story

The group “Margaritas de Macamaca” will start its fifth cycle in Pro Mujer as part of the program Centro Focal Copacabana. The group is made up of 10 members and is led by a board of directors, of which Elsa is the president.
The loan that they are taking out will benefit small business owners, such as Elsa. She has a business selling food. She learned this business on her own initiative several years ago.
The loan will be used to increase her capital to buy rice, pasta and oil wholesale. She will buy these supplies from wholesale suppliers in the city of La Paz.
She prepares food which she then sells from her food stand. This manner of work allows her to generate income to support her family financially. She is single and has five children.

Note: The member Elena is not in this photo as she had to leave quickly after the meeting to put her cattle out to graze.
