A loan helped to restock her bar and restaurant business.

Allen Ronah's story

Allen, aged 40, is honest and hardworking and lives in Entebbe. She is married and has two children, aged four and eight years, both attending school. She intended to boost her business but didn’t have enough capital after trying to get some money from relatives and friends who had more problems and were not willing to help her out. The little she collected was insufficient to boost the bar and restaurant business to the level she wanted.

She heard about UGAFODE through a friend, Donald, and became a member. Now that the demand has increased, she wants another loan of UGX 2,500,000 to restock her business in order to expand her business after initially borrowing UGX 1,500,000. She dreams of setting up lodging to help her earn more income to educate her children to higher levels of learning. The bar and restaurant business faces challenges such as being seasonal, inflation, and tight competition.

Allen wants to extend her sincere gratitude and appreciation to the funders for this great support that is improving and changing lives of micro-entrepreneurs.
