A loan helped to buy cereals to resell in order to increase her income, send her children to school, and improve her living standards.

Gladys's story

To Gladys, farming is not only a skill, but also a hobby. She learned agriculture from her parents and has mastered various farming skills. Gladys is proud to own a big tea plantation and a garden where she plants vegetables. She also raises dairy cattle, goats, and poultry.

For more than twenty years, farming has been her livelihood. Gladys feels accomplished knowing that she used the proceeds from her farm to send all her children to school. Her entrepreneurial skills and sales knowledge are unquestionable.

Currently, Gladys is seeking a loan to buy cereals to resell so she can increase her income. She plans to buy cereals-- including lentils, cow peas, and sorghum--from farmers and sell the cereals in her local market. Gladys will purchase and transport cereals in bulk to faraway markets, where she will then sell them at prices high enough to cover all incurred expenses plus profit.

Gladys is confident that she will be able to repay the loan on time because she is hardworking and financially disciplined. Returns from this investment will change her life. Gladys will use the additional income to raise her family's living standards and pay for her children's education.

Her positive attitude and hopes of getting ahead show that Gladys has an immense desire to better herself. She hopes to receive enthusiastic support from lenders.
