A loan helped to buy one ton of millet.
Marame's Group's story
This group of six members was created since the inauguration of the banc villageois in 2010. It is made up of women who almost all live in the same neighbourhood. They get on well together and their main activity is small trade. Mrs. Mbenda, who is standing on the right in the photo with her hand raised, is the leader. She is 62, and married with seven children of whom three are girls. With her loan she intends to buy millet at the weekly markets for resale in the capital. She will use the profits made by her activity to renovate her house.
