Centrine's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Centrine's Group's story

Pictured above is Centrine, often described as an extremely hard-working individual. She is 42 years old and has eight children. As a group leader, she is representing her group of 15 farmers in Webuye District, Kenya.

Centrine is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again since this means that she is able to earn enough to feed her family, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Centrine says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she first joined in 2014, she has had a healthier life due to better nutrition, which has significantly improved her day-to-day life.

Centrine will use the profits from this season to send her children to school.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of seven acres. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive a total of five solar lights.
