Rosland's story

I was born in the great state of Michigan but raised in Wisconsin from a little girl. I am the middle of five children and always had a desire to join the service since the 4th grade. After turning 17 a recruiter came to my high school we talked and I made the decision then that yes I wanted to serve my country. I spent 8 years in the United States Army Reserves. I look back on my military career and am glad I joined. The military taught me such a great sense of team work, dependability, accountability, resourcefulness and how to be courageous. Today, I have my undergraduate degree in Business Administration. My business will be five years old in March of 2018 operating with a profit. My dreams for the future are to branch out with more of the Administrative functions of my degree. After my first year in business I was extremely sad and just depressed. I was so far in the red I didn't know which way to go. I couldn't express to my students how bad things were. I just had to press, teach, smile and move forward. I met with my husband and cried on his shoulders for about 30 minutes. After that he stated, "are you done"? I replied, "yeah". He then went on you say, "You have a wonderful business idea and you are a great trainer. The goal is not to give up until you have given it everything you got." I pondered on that advice for several days, updated my price list, cut out whatever I could to decrease my expenses. By the end of the second year my profit margin was up by %44. I tell all entrepreneurs that perseverance has to be a constant.
