Nuevo Amanecer Group's story

The communal bank “Nuevo Amanecer” will begin its first cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Alto Lima regional office. The group includes eight members and is managed by a board of directors of which Silvia is the president.

The loan that they will take will benefit small business owners of which Silvia is one. She has a business selling food. She notes that she learned the business on her own initiative several years ago.

The loan that she will take now will be for the increase of capital to buy rice, noodles, and oil wholesale, which she will buy from the wholesale vendors in the city of La Paz. Then she will prepare and sell it in her sales space. This method of working allows her to generate income to support her family. She is in a common law relationship and has three children.
