A loan helped to purchase wholesale wool.

Amistad Sin Fronteras Group's story

The communal bank Amistad Sin Fronteras [Friendship Without Borders] will begin the first cycle in Pro Mujer as part of the Senkata Community Center. It is made up of eight members and is run by a board of directors, of which Marcia is the president.

The loan that they will receive will benefit small businesswomen, and Marcia is one of them. She currently has a business of selling blankets. She says that she learned this business through her own initiative several years ago.

The loan that she will now receive will be an increase of capital for the purchase of wholesale wool that she will acquire from the wholesalers in the city of La Paz. She will then do the manufacturing and sales at her retail space. This type of work allows her to generate resources to support her family financially since she is single and independent.
