Hasina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to expand her hand loom business by making and selling more varieties of saris.

Hasina's story

Hasina, 47, is a resident of the Burdwan district of West Bengal, who wants to support her husband to make saris and sell them. Her husband collects raw thread from the market, makes the thread into the finished material and fits them in a "tana", which is a part of the handloom machine used to make saris. She has a household size of 3 and a monthly income of 6,700 INR and hence wishes to increase her monthly income.

The loan amount of 20,000 INR from Gram Bikash Kendra, a field partner of Milaap, will help her to support her husband to make and sell more saris in the local market. With the loan amount, they can purchase more threads, needles and upgrade the tana machine. She is grateful to the lenders for this financial assistance.
