A loan helped to buy a chaff-cutter (a mechanical device that is used to cut hay into small pieces to help his cow in digestion) to increase milk production and his income.

Alfred's story

Alfred is very hard working and has a great desire to achieve. He hails from a remote village in the Chuka area of Kenya, where farming has been embraced as the primary economic activity. At 44 years of age, Alfred has never engaged in any other form of employment apart from farming. He practices livestock and poultry keeping. He enjoys every bit of farming because, through farming, he is able to take care of his family’s needs and wants.

Although he experiences challenges in farming, his attitude keeps him going. Enjoying what he does, he has even nicknamed his cow.

Alfred is seeking a 50,000 KES loan to buy a chaff cutter. A chaff cutter is a mechanical device that is used to cut hay into small pieces before mixing it with other forage. This assists the animal's digestion and prevents the animal from rejecting any part of the food. With the loan, Alfred will be able to increase his milk production and his income, hence reducing the poverty that is currently facing him.

Alfred biggest dream is to get out of poverty, and this loan will be a stepping stone toward improving the living standard of his family and increasing his income level.

Be inspired and lend to him!
