Gordon's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy fertilizers for his plantations to improve yields.

Gordon's story

Gordon is a new client of UGAFODE Microfinance Ltd (MDI). He is 33 years old and married with three children, all attending school. His main business is agriculture, mainly growing tea. At harvest time he supplies the tea to processing factories within his region and other surrounding regions. He works for 8 hours, 6 days a week.

In order to improve his farm yields, he has applied for a loan of UGX 5,000,000 from UGAFODE to buy fertilizers for his tea plantation. He is hopeful that his farm yields will attract competitive prices, increase his income and financially stability and allow him to pay his children's school fees.

Gordon extends his gratitude to lenders for their financial support that will boost his farming business. His main challenge continues to be price fluctuations which brings uncertainty to his profits.
