Tasleem's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy calves to resell them in a festive season.

Tasleem's story

Tasleem is a 29 year-old woman with four children, who lives with her spouse in Multan, Pakistan. They live in their own house made of brick that has drinking water, electricity, and plumbing. Tasleem has been raising calves as a source of income. She has been raising calves for five years. Tasleem is a borrower of a BRAC Pakistan. She receives financial aid from BRAC Pakistan for her livestock business.

She buys calves from the animal markets, following which she raises the calves until the following season when she re-sells them in the same markets with the help of her husband in some festive season such as Eid ul Azha (Sacrifice Eid which is Muslim Sacrifice festive). Tasleem plans to grow her business for a better future of her children. Tasleem requested a 50,000 PKR loan through BRAC Pakistan to buy calves and animal food for her livestock business.

Tasleem and her family will be thankful to Kiva, its lenders and field partner BRAC Pakistan for helping them by funding this loan to improve their living standard.
