Total loan: $550

Weta, Volta Region, Ghana / Agriculture

Rebecca's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy herbicides, fungicides, seeds and fertilizers to increase her rice harvest.

Rebecca's story

Rebecca, 60, married with three children, lives in the rice-growing community of Weta in the Volta Region of Ghana.

For the past eight years, she has grown rice. She uses revenue from the farm for the financial needs of her family. Thanks to her hard work, she has employed six other people as farmhands, and her farm is one of the leading rice farms in Weta.

With the goal of further developing her farm, she has applied to Advans Ghana for a loan to buy herbicides, fungicides, seeds and fertilizers for the minor season farming, with the goal of increasing her harvest.

Profits from the loan will help Rebecca meet family needs, especially for nutrition.
