Mamie's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more ingredients that will be used to bake bread to sell.

Mamie's story

This is 39-year-old Mamie. She lives with her partner and three children between the ages of six and 20 years old. Two of her children are currently in school and all of them live at home.

Mamie runs a business as a main source of income, baking bread to sell. She started to sell bread after receiving financial help from her husband and she learned how to sell from her dear mother.

Mamie has been a hardworking businesswoman for five years now. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business. Mamie has had no problems with her business. She likes her business because it helps her family a lot.

To continue her sales, she requires a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. With this loan, she will buy more ingredients to be used to bake bread, such as flour, butter, oil, sugar and other items. She is very grateful for the financial support rendered.
