A loan helped to buy school shoes.

María Lidia's story

In order to be successful, Maria, age 51, made strategic alliances that allowed her to develop her businesses. Even though she has been a seamstress for several years, two years age she decided to buy medicines and sandals to go and sell on the border with Costa Rica. Her daughter, who lives in Costa Rica, has been helping her to establish good clientele in this country. School shoes are in the most demand. She strengthened her business with a loan from Kiva together with MiCredito.

She is very grateful for the support she received. She turns to MiCredito once again to request another Kiva loan that will allow her to buy school shoes and send them to Costa Rica. In the future she hopes to export large volumes to this country.
