Judith's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seed and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize, as well buy as a solar light.

Judith's Group's story

Judith's Group is formed by 14 farmers in Webuye District and is being represented by Judith, who is pictured above. She is 63 years old and has seven children. Judith has been a farmer for more than 20 years and is often referred to as a very reliable person.

Judith joined One Acre Fund in 2016 and has since noticed her life has changed, especially in the sense that she has gained a lot of respect in her community. This year, Judith will not only get fertilizer and maize seed as part of her loan, but will also purchase a solar light. She is very excited about this addition since now she will be able to reduce the consumption of paraffin fuel and therefore save more money.

Using this loan, Judith's Group will purchase a total of 14 solar lights and use the farming inputs received to plant a total of 4.5 acres.
