Jacklyne's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize, as well as a solar light.

Jacklyne's Group's story

Jacklyne's Group is formed by 14 farmers in Webuye District and is being represented by Jacklyne, the group leader pictured above. She is 32 years old and has five children.

Jacklyne has been a farmer for seven years and is often referred to as a very resourceful person. She isn’t new to One Acre Fund, having joined the program in 2014; she has since noticed her life has changed, especially in the sense that she has support from a large farm group.

This year, Jacklyne will not only get fertilizer and maize seeds as part of her loan, but will also purchase a solar light. She is very excited about this addition since now she will be able to reduce the consumption of paraffin fuel and therefore save more money.

Using this loan, Jacklyne's Group will purchase a total of 14 solar lights and use the farming inputs received to plant a total of 4.25 acres.
