Ruth's story

Ruth is in her late 30s, married and has three children. For 6 years, she’s been operating a small boutique that sells women's clothes, handmade fabrics, textiles and sewing materials. She also operates a general store to support her family. She daily opens at 7 am and closes at 7 pm and is able to make a good monthly profit.

This will be her second loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. Ruth's previous loan, all of which she has paid back successfully, allowed her to buy more crates of sodas, cartons of juices and water, beans, and rice, and she started a clothing sales business. As a result, she earned more than before and her profit rose. She used the profits for paying back her loan dues, covered household expenses and caring for her loving family.

Ruth is applying for this loan to buy decorated fabrics and textiles and she will also add out-of-stock items in her general store. She will be responsible for paying back the loan.
