Miatta's story

This is 29 years old Miatta. She went to school up to 4th grade. She is married and has 3 children. The ages of her children are 5 through 12. All of her children are in school while living at home.

For the past 8 years she has been selling pepper, bitter balls, and oil. She says that she has not faced any problems with her business. In order to help her husband to take care of her children she applied for a loan to increase the business. The loan will be used to buy more pepper, bitter balls, and oil to sell and generate more funds that will help improve her standard of living. She transports her goods by car to her business site. Her husband helped her financially to start the business. She learned the trade from her mother. She says that she likes the business because the business system is good. She is also proud because it empowers her. In the future she would like to deal as a big business woman. She says thanks for your support.
