Dorothy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as seeds and high-nutrient fertilizers to improve her production, make more profits and pay her children's school fee debt.

Dorothy's story

Dorothy farms in Kitale, where she lives with her husband and children. She has a deep commitment to act as a steward of her farm for the success of future generations, and that is why she works hard.

Dorothy’s main sources of income include milk and vegetables. However, she engages in some personal businesses to enable her to supplement her limited income. The greatest challenge that farmers in her village face is access to farming inputs. This has resulted in low-quality yields, which consequently lower the market demand.

Dorothy has learned that Juhudi Kilimo has intervened in the activities of rural, smallholder farmers and is giving them financial support in the form of loans to enable them to access income-generating assets as well as farming inputs. Dorothy has used this loan to purchase farm inputs such as high-quality seeds and rich-nutrients fertilizers which she will use on her farm to boost her yields. Please lend to this industrious woman so that she can save for her children's education. Kindly be inspired and light up a life this holiday season and kindly empower a smallholder Kenyan woman through a loan!
