Women Of Favour Group's story

Tendai is a cross-border trader who specializes in buying and selling clothes from Mozambique. She used to sell clothes from her house when the competition was still low. She is a lady, aged 42, who resides in Harare. Her husband is a bus driver at a local company which commutes people from Zimbabwe to Mozambique. Her husband assists her in carrying her stocks when she purchases in bulk. This combination with her husband has brought food on the table for their five children over the past years. They have managed to build their house and pay their children’s fees from their businesses.

Part of being an entrepreneur is learning to take responsibility for your successes and for your failures. Tendai realized the need for expansion when she found out that there are better sales working in central Harare. She then started renting a table where she realized there were high chances of sales increase. Tendai used her loan of $500 to buy more stock of clothes in bulk and reduce her travelling costs. More so, she wants to avoid travelling to add stocks during the festive season because she may lose sales.
